The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Casting Update

Summit Entertainment announced this week the following have been cast in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN for roles in The Amazon Coven, The Egyptian Coven, The Irish Coven and The Romanian Coven as well as the American and European Nomads as outlined below.

THE AMAZON COVEN

* Senna – Tracey Heggins
* Zafrina – Judi Shekoni

Among the oldest vampires in the world, Senna and Zafrina are descendants of an ancient Amazonian tribe. They have lived outside of civilization for centuries and therefore make no attempt to keep up a human facade. Though they drink human blood, the Amazons have long been allies of Carlisle.

THE EGYPTIAN COVEN

* Amun – Omar Metwally
* Kebi – Andrea Gabriel
* Benjamin – Rami Malek
* Tia – Angela Sarafyan

The Egyptian Coven consists of Amun, Kebi, Benjamin, and Tia, with Amun as the leader. It is stated that even though they are not a biological family, they could pass for one. Amun is extremely protective of his family and fearful of Aro.

THE IRISH COVEN

* Maggie – Marlane Barnes
* Siobhan – Lisa Howard
* Liam – Patrick Brennan

The Irish Coven, a relatively young group, was founded by Siobhan and Liam, but Maggie’s talent made her an important element of it. They are not vegetarian but they are civilized.

THE ROMANIAN COVEN

* Vladimir – Noel Fisher
* Stefan – Guri Weinberg

The Romanian Coven is one of the oldest covens in the world and they were the ruling vampire family until they were unseated by the Volturi. For that reason they harbor a centuries old resentment of the Italian coven.

THE AMERICAN NOMADS

* Garrett – Lee Pace
* Mary – Toni Trucks
* Randall – Bill Tangradi
* Peter – Erik Odom
* Charlotte – Valorie Curry

Turned during the Revolutionary War, Garrett has chosen to live a nomadic existence, wandering the world on his own. Garrett has never lost the rebellious spirit of his human life, and loves a good fight, always rooting for the underdog. Though not a vegetarian, Garrett is among Carlisle’s closest and oldest friends.

Mary and Randall are American nomadic vampires.

Peter and Charlotte are nomadic vampires and mates. They were created during the aftermath of the Southern Vampire Wars, in which Jasper was a key player. They have remained friends with Jasper ever since.

THE EUROPEAN NOMADS

* Alistair – Joe Anderson

A nomadic vampire from England, Alistair has a misanthropic, brooding personality and a deep mistrust of all authority. Although he counts Carlisle as his closest acquaintance, he doesn’t visit more than once a century

Its Official MacKenzie Foy Will Play Renesmee In ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’

After practically years of suspense over who would play vampire-human child Renesmee “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,” it was author Stephenie Meyer who finally got to break the news on Wednesday night.

“Very excited about our new Renesmee, Mackenzie Foy,” she wrote on the “Twilight” Facebook page. “She’s an amazing young actress and I’m excited to work with her. I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer!”

Twilights Kristen Stewart: The Official ‘Welcome to the Rileys’ Poster

Rileys features Gandolfini and Leo as a married couple ravaged by the death of their teenaged daughter. Worn down by her agoraphobia, he splits to New Orleans, where his platonic encounter with a young runaway and prostitute (Stewart) prompts each to finally pursue their respective shots at recovery and redemption. Back at the film’s Sundance premiere, Movieline singled out Stewart’s performance in particular as one to watch: “[A]s the foul-mouthed, filthy-minded teen with the gnarly complexion at the center of the story,” Seth Abramovitch wrote, “she gives another effective, rough-edged performance — while going a long way towards coloring in some of those libidinous lines left void by the ever-chaste Bella [Swan].”

Twilights Kristen Stewart And Robert Pattinson Win Cover Of The Year

The Harper’s Bazaar December 2009 issue featuring Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson won Cover of the Year hosted by the American Society of Magazine Editors!

The cover of the December 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, featuring the lead actors of the hit movie franchise Twilight, was chosen by Amazon.com customers as “Cover of the Year.” This is the second year that Amazon.com has hosted the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) Best Cover Contest, and the fifth year that ASME has presented the awards. The announcement was made today by Larry Hackett, ASME President and Managing Editor, People, at the American Magazine Conference currently underway in Chicago, Illinois.

Twelve category winners, chosen by Amazon.com customers during the first round of public voting, competed for the “Cover of the Year” honor.  The Harper’s Bazaar cover, which won the “Best Vampire” category before it was chosen “Cover of the Year,” depicts Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in a rare shot together. While the epic image played on the idea of courtship, it was given extra heat due to their real-life romance.

Maggie Grace Will Play Irinia In ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’

EXCLUSIVE: Maggie Grace will play a new vampire threat to Kristen Stewart’s Bella in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.  Grace, who played Liam Neeson’s in-distress daughter in Taken, will play the role of Irina in the final installments of the Stephenie Meyer novel, which director Bill Condon is directing in two separate films.

Irina is a member of the Denali coven, considered cousins to the Cullen clan as the only other “vegetarian” vampire group. When Irina blames the Cullens for the death of her lover, her actions set in motion a terrifying chain of events. The first of two pictures will be released by Summit Entertainment on November 18, 2011, followed by the finale on November 16, 2012. Melissa Rosenberg is writing both scripts, and Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and Meyer are producing. Grace just completed the Dwayne Johnson-starrer Faster for CBS Pictures and re-teamed with Taken producer Luc Besson in Lockout, the outer space saga that stars Guy Pearce as a wrongly convicted man offered his freedom if he can rescue the president’s daughter (Grace) from an outer space prison taken over by violent inmates. Grace is also waiting to reprise in Taken 2. She is repped by UTA and Global Creative.
